WATER SLIDES & LAZY RIVER FAQ

Nope, just a height limit! You must be 44” or taller to use the Wedge water slides. Life jackets are provided for everyone using the water slides.
There is no age restriction for the lazy river. All children under 52″ must wear a life jacket on the lazy river. -

Our Activity Pass includes access to the lazy river and the Wedge water slides for the day, we do not have a pass just for the lazy river.

Yes, we provide tubes for the lazy river. You may rent a cooler tube for the lazy river when you check in.
You may bring your own tube for the lazy river, as long as it is under 55″ across.No tubes are allowed in the Wedge water slide pool.

You may bring coolers with food and drinks, gas BBQs/grills, chairs, canopies/tents.
You may NOT bring glass, charcoal BBQs/grills or any kind of weapon.
Please carry your ID with you – you will need it to receive a 21+ wristband if you intend on drinking, or buying any alcohol drinks from us.
*Please note: BYOB is only permitted in the slide/river area and not the surf pool/beach area*

We do not have lockers (yet).
Most of our guests carry a waterproof pouch with their phone, credit card, ID and car keys around the park with them 🙂
Travel light, stay light!

But of course! We offer 10% off our activity passes for all serving and veteran military personnel with appropriate ID.
Military discounted tickets must be purchased on site so we can verify the ID.

Service animals are only allowed with the correct marked badges. Service dogs are not allowed in any bodies of water.

All water park activity passes including beach club passes can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the day of the reservation for a credit to be used in the same season.
Any unused reservations cannot be refunded after the date for which a reservation was made.
Waco Surf is in no way financially responsible for any travel costs or fees acquired in the rare event that the water park must be shut down due to local or federally mandated closures, and/or unforeseen mechanical, safety or weather-related reasons.

Yes, you may bring your own propane or gas BBQ or grill for The Wetlands waterpark (Grills/BBQs of any kind are not permitted on the surf side of the park).

Yes, you may bring your own cooler with snacks, drinks and alcoholic beverages to The Wetlands waterpark (BYO alcohol of any kind are not permitted on the surf side of the park). There is no entry fee for coolers, we do have cooler float you can rent to take your cooler around the lazy river with you though 🙂
No glass allowed – even your jar of pickles will be confiscated…

The Surfside Shack (requires a beach pass, surfing reservation or lodging reservation to access)

Closed: 8pm for food, 9pm for drinks
Serves: Pinewood fresh brewed coffee, beers, seltzers, water, soda, gatorade, Kind bars, tacos, baked goods
The Dive Bar (requires a beach pass, surfing reservation or lodging reservation to access)

Wedge Grill
Open: 12-6pm daily
Serves: Burgers, beers, seltzers, fountain sodas, water
Lakeside Saloon
Open: 2-7pm Saturdays and Sundays
Serves: Salads, sliders, chicken tenders, fries, cocktails, beers, soda, water

Individual Activity Passes are $39+tax on weekdays and $49+tax on weekends and public holidays.
Kids passes (aged 6-16 years old) are $15+tax.
Kids 6 years and younger are free.
Sunset Passes are available Monday to Friday, and Sunday. They are not available on Saturdays or public holiday weekends. These are $29+tax and allow you access to the lazy river and Wedge water slides from 3-6pm during the week and 3-7pm on Sundays.
Beach Access is not included in the Activity Pass and is an additional fee (this can be paid online or on site).
Family Activity Passes (not including beach access) are $99+tax for 2 adults and 2 kids.

The Wedge cabanas are located around the shallow wading pool next to the Wedge water slides. They range from $189-269+tax depending on the season and the day of the week!
Each cabana comes with seating for up to 8 people.
The Wedge Cabanas do not come with any passes, these need to be purchased in addition to the cabana rental.
Cabana rental times follow waterpark hours.

The activity passes (individual, family and sunset) do not include beach access – this can be added to your pass for $10+tax/person.
Please note – while the waterpark side of the property is BYOB (no glass), the beach side of the property is strictly non BYOB. Coolers can be left with our staff at the bridge between the 2 attractions.

Parking is free in our back parking lot. If you’d like the convenience of being right up front close to the entrance, we have VIP parking available for $20 for the day. One of our park ambassadors will be able to direct you to both parking lots.

Yeah, you’re going to need a reservation. Our surf sessions are usually booked about 2 months in advance, so showing up and hoping for the best is not something we recommend. At all.

Glad you asked – great question! It changes dramatically, reflecting the air temperature the days before your session! Check the home page for daily water temp updates and recommended wetsuit set ups!

We usually release the public surf (also known as space available) sessions 4-6 weeks out!
If you want peace of mind, stay on site with us with our Stay and Surf program and prebook your surf sessions…aaahhh that’s better!

Whenever you please! We have bookings 24 hours up to 24 months in advance. The further in advance you book, the better selection of dates and times you have access to. You can email [email protected] for all availability and pricing!

The beginner/Malibu wave is our smallest wave – reaching knee to thigh height. This is a straight wave, and come in sets of 3 every 30 seconds. There is 30 minutes of lefts, and 30 minutes of rights.
There are coaches in the water with you to help you shred! Soft-top board rental is included in the session price (excluding the optional insurance fee).
The intermediate/longboard/Jetty wave is our mid tier wave – reaching stomach to chest height. This is a mellow rolling wave, and come in sets of 3 every 30 seconds. There is 30 minutes of lefts, and 30 minutes of rights.
Board rental is not included in the session price.
The expert/Lowers wave is our performance wave – reaching chest to head height. This is a screamer of a wave – we’ve seen tube rides and aerials on this setting. There is an expert disclaimer associated with this wave…so it’s serious.
Board rental is not included in the session price. There are 30 minutes of lefts and 30 minutes of rights with a 3-wave set rolling through every 80 seconds or so.Board rental is not included in the session price.

Expert Private Wave Settings
Freak Peak Wedge – 2 waves that collide from either end of the lagoon. Made for doing airs.
Waco Wedge – Slab barrel wave.
Sissy Sauce – Air wave with section to a barrel section.
3 set lowers – Similar to a wave at lowers/ soft lip able to do cutbacks and get barreled.
Peak Peel – Wedge slab barrel followed by a peeling roller with barrel section then floater section.
Peel Wave – Fast hollow running wave.
Closeout Air – Closeout wave made for doing airs.
Air Section Plus – Air section with a bit more ramp to the section.
3 Set Close – All peeling waves in a 3 wave set. Fast hollow waves.
3 Set Gap – Peeling waves with a 10 second gap between each wave.
Spit – Long fast peeling wave that spits midway to the end.
Intermediate Private Wave Settings:
Air section right and left – Softer smaller air section with close out.
3 set Jetty – A smaller version of the lowers wave. Good for perfecting turns and barrels.
3 set plus – Intermediate version of a peeling wave.
Peel – Fast hollow peeling wave. Good for single longboard wave.

For sure! They can buy a Surfer Companion Beach Club pass and swim in the lagoon while you boost airs!

You may bring your umbrella or tent for the surf lagoon beach, but do NOT put any poles or rods directly into the sand as it will rip the liner underneath the sand. Please only use bases or weights to secure the tent or umbrella.

- Any private surf reservations totaling less than 8 hours of surf require full payment at the time of booking.
- Reservations for 8 hours of surf or more require a 50% deposit at the time of booking (if more than 30 days in the future) and full payment 30 days prior to your surf.
- All private sessions canceled more than 30 days in advance will receive a surf resort credit for the full amount to be used within the current year. The credit will be either issued to the dollar amount, or the hour amount; whichever is lesser in value.
- All private sessions canceled 30 days to 14 days in advance of the session start time will receive a 50% surf resort credit for the full amount to be used within the current year. The credit will be either issued to the dollar amount, or the hour amount; whichever is lesser in value.
- Any private sessions canceled less than 14 days before the start of the session will receive no refund or credit.
- Individuals booking private surf acknowledge that the use of resort credits is subject to availability and that Waco Surf has no obligation to ensure availability.
- All private surf sales are final.
- Should surf be canceled by the resort for any reason, the customer will be offered a priority credit for future use. Such a credit will have no expiration. Waco Surf is in no way financially responsible for any travel costs or fees acquired in the rare event that the surf must be shut down due to local or federally mandated closures, and/or unforeseen mechanical, safety or weather-related reasons.

Space Available/Public Surf Sessions
- Waco Surf has no obligation to ensure space available surf availability.
- All sales are final, no credits, rebooks or refunds.
- Any cancellations will result in the forfeit of any funds received by Waco Surf.
- Should surf be canceled by the resort for any reason, the customer will be offered a priority credit for future use. Such a credit will have no expiration. Waco Surf is in no way financially responsible for any travel costs or fees acquired in the rare event that the surf must be shut down due to local or federally mandated closures, and/or unforeseen mechanical, safety or weather-related reasons.
Stay & Surf Sessions
- All public surf sessions require full payment at the time of booking.
- All public sessions canceled more than 30 days in advance will receive a surf resort credit for the full amount to be used within the current year.
- All public sessions canceled 30 days to 14 days in advance of the session start time will receive a 50% surf resort credit for the full amount to be used within the current year. The credit will be either issued to the dollar amount, or the hour amount; whichever is lesser in value.
- Any public sessions canceled less than 14 days before the start of the session will receive no refund or credit.
- Any resort credits that are issued subject to this policy are only valid for the current surf season which usually ends in December of the current calendar year.
- Individuals booking public surf acknowledge that the use of resort credits is subject to availability and that Waco Surf has no obligation to ensure availability.
- All public surf sales are final.
- Should surf be canceled by the resort for any reason, the customer will be offered a priority credit for future use. Such a credit will have no expiration. Waco Surf is in no way financially responsible for any travel costs or fees acquired in the rare event that the surf must be shut down due to local or federally mandated closures, and/or unforeseen mechanical, safety or weather-related reasons.

All cabana reservations shall be paid at the time booked. All cabana reservations may be cancelled up to 7 days in advance for a full refund. Service animals are only allowed with correct marked badges. Service animals are not allowed in any bodies of water. We can direct you where service animals are and are not allowed on property. Emotional support animals are not allowed on property. Sorry Fluffles 🙁

You can bring:
- Coolers full of all the delicious non-alcoholic drinks you can think of.
- Life jackets for kids under the age of 12 years old.
- Umbrellas and tents – please do not dig poles into the sand. Only use bases or weight to secure umbrellas and tents.
- Reusable water bottles to refill from our Flowater stations across the property.
- Your own surfboard or body board for your surf session.
You cannot bring:
- Your own alcohol (we have 2 bars located on the lagoon you can purchase any liquid courage from).
- Anything made from glass.
- Pets of any kind (service dogs are allowed with correct marked badges, but they are not allowed on the beach or in the water).
- Grills or BBQs of any kind
- Skateboards, rollerblades, roller skates, bikes etc.
- A bad attitude

Right now! We’re running waves from March to December this year. We can book your private sessions for any available times in 2022 now, and we can book your Stay and Surf sessions about 3-8 months in advance with an on site accommodation booking. Space available sessions are hands off for us – so head online and you can book these yourself a few hours before a session, up to 6 weeks before a session!
ACCOMODATIONS FAQ

Right now! You can book a room in our hotel, one of our cabins, or an RV spot for today until the end of the year. If you’d like to book either our Lakehouse or Roadhouse – shoot us an email at [email protected] and we’ll get you sorted!

On-site Lodging
All lodging reservations shall be paid in full at the time booked.
All lodging reservations may be cancelled up to 7 days in advance for a full refund.
Any hotel reservations cancelled within 7 days but up to 48 hours prior to arrival (3:00pm of your check in day) shall be issued a refund of 50% of the full amount of the booking.
Any cancellations made within 48 hours of arrival shall receive no refund.
Customer agrees to read and sign our lodging rental agreement once on site.

You are allowed 1 dog per cabin for an additional pet fee.
No dogs are allowed in the hotel, surf park or water activities area.
Dogs are allowed by the cable beach on leash. Please be a good pet parent and pick up after your dog, we have a lot of barefooted guests… -
Why yes! Depending on your accommodation capacity you will receive adult activity passes for free, and all kids activity passes for free (ages 6-16 years old) – this is included as part of the resort fee. Any additional passes you may require can be purchased at the front desk on the day.
Standard Wave Facing hotel room (Room #1-6) = 2 adult activity passes and 2 kids activity passes
Standard Garden Facing hotel room (Room #7-11) = 2 adult activity passes and 2 kids activity passes
Wave facing Suites = 4 adult activity passes and 4 kids activity passes

Oh heavens no! If there are any signs smoking has occurred in our cabins, houses or hotel rooms – this will incur a hefty fee when you check out.

If your accommodation is free the night before or following night we can almost always accommodate early check in and late check out times for an additional cost. If there is a booking the night before or night after, we may be able to accommodation an early check in or late check out for an additional fee.

Yes ma’am! All our RV sites have 30 and 50 amp electrical, water, and septic/sewerage hook ups.
Each RV site can accommodate 2 vehicles plus an RV under 40′.
*Our RV spots have a height limit of 14ft.*

No…but you can bring a tent with your camper van or RV and pitch it right next to it! All RV spots can accommodate vehicles up to 40” with additional space.
